An Invitation to Listen to Each Other: First Critical Transition Step

This is a wonderful time to be a part of St. Margaret’s as we continue to find joy in our many church activities in this most beautiful month of May.

As we start the transition process in our search for a new rector, it is first important to know who we are as individuals and as a parish. A key task is listening to each other’s hopes and dreams; in this way, we can learn more about each other as we begin to build a profile of St. Margaret’s as well as the key characteristics of a rector that we would like to call.  We will hold sessions centered around five key questions, and everyone will be heard and hear the thoughts of others.

There will be a series of these listening sessions after services on three Sundays:

  • May 26th
  • June 2nd
  • June 9th (If needed, although there will be a Ministry Fair that day)

And on Wednesday May 29 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

And within some organized groups (for example,  Choir, EFM or Daughters of the King), and even a Zoom session for those seasonal members who would like to participate. Each Listening Session will last about 90 minutes.

We invite EVERYONE to be a part of the process.

For planning purposes, there will be signup sheets at the Connections Table, and you can also email or call Debby Jansma in the Church Office [760-346-2697, ext. 104 or debbyj@stmargarets.org].

We need you and your thoughts. Please mark your calendars to join us in listening to each other!
