EfM Graduation Set for June 3

On Sunday, June 3, we will recognize three individuals as graduates of our Education for Ministry (EfM) program.

Lorraine Becker of St. Margaret’s and Helen Astleford of St. John’s-Indio have completed the four-year program which runs from mid-September through May.

In addition, Jane Weber will graduate but will be attending a ceremony in McKinney, Texas. Jane completed her work with the St. Margaret’s cohort but enrolled in McKinney to help that parish with their enrollment numbers four years ago.

EfM is a program of lay theological education which has been offered since 1975, with more than 80.000 participants. A new cohort will start at St. Margaret’s in the fall–meeting on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.–and enrollment is currently open. Tuition is $375 and is due by June 1. Scholarships are available.
