Rudyard Kipling once wrote, “Gardens are not made by singing ‘Oh, how beautiful,’ and sitting in the shade.”
The garden boxes just north of our Administration Building have no one to enjoy them and grow yummy things! For several years, a teacher from the adjacent school used them for student activities. She is no longer there; so, the garden is available for another purpose. Water lines are in, so it could be used by parishioners and neighbors. We just need someone to step up and handle organization and work with staff on publicity. It offers a great opportunity to serve parishioners and make a helpful connection with neighbors.
Call the church office to express your interest in being the garden’s supervisor, or mention it to Pastor Kathleen, Debby Jansma or Chet Hecht.
