St. Margaret’s Cross on the Hill Vandalized

Earlier this week, the St. Margaret’s Cross on the Hill was vandalized. The photo above was provided to St. Margaret’s News by Bob Gibson and Amanda DiVita.

According to our electrical contractor, the repairs will include new bulbs, covers, wiring and fixtures. While the church has a supply of bulbs and covers, our contractor will need to purchase wiring and fixtures to complete the repairs.

The hike to the cross is enjoyed by many members of our community, including people of a wide diversity of faiths and denominations. The cross appears in many “selfies” posted on social media.

St. Margaret’s invites anyone in the community who wishes to donate to help with the repairs to do so. There are several options. Learn how you can contribute by clicking here.
