Sunday Evening Compline Service Update

On Sunday, October 7, St. Margaret’s began an evening choral compline service performed by the newly formed St. Margaret’s Schola Cantorum under the direction of Mark Austin.

It is held on the first and third Sundays of the month through May at 7 p.m. Beginning this Sunday, October 21, it will be held in the Sanctuary.

This service is drawn from the most contemplative and meditative of the monastic offices begun in the Middle Ages. It is a candlelit service offering music from Gregorian Chant and early polyphony to the contemporary music of modern mystics.

If you love music or if you’re looking for a deeply spiritual way to end your weekend and prepare for the coming week, you will enjoy this service. Bring a friend. Invite a neighbor.
